Jimmy Choo To Release Fragrance

Yes yes you read the title right, Jimmy Choo has decided to release a new fragrance. Now we all know Jimmy Choo for its range of fabulous shoes, it has now being confirmed that the famous high fashion shoemaker has decided to take on the fragrance industry by  signing a long 12 year licensing agreement with global fragrance producer inter parfums SA(which also distributes Burberry, Lanvin and Paul Smith scents).

In a press release, Tamara Mellon, the founder and president of Jimmy Choo emphasised that she had always wanted to do frgrances for Jimmy Choo. She also stated that through Inter Parfums she hopes to bring her vision alive which is to fully accessorize the woman, and fragrance is an integral part of the modern wardrobe.

The self titled fragrance (it is called ‘Jimmy Choo’)  has said to consist of top notes of pear nectar and sweet italian orange mixed with tiger orchid and Indonesian patchouli. It was said to have been composed by perfumer Olivier Polge of International Flavors & Fragrances.

It is to launch worldwide in Febuary 2011,with matching body lotion and shower gel.

According to the Independent newspaper, Price points are as follows for the Jimmy Choo Eau de parfum: £39 (40 ml), £49 (60 ml), and £68 (100 ml).
